Virginia Tech transfer portal wide receiver Isaiah Spencer is headed home. After three years on the Hokies’ roster, Spencer has committed to the Ole Miss Rebels.
The 6-2, 195-pound native Mississippian, Spencer prepped at Madison (Miss.) Central High School and was a member of the 2023 class. A three-star prospect, he was rated as the state’s No. 29 player and the No. 199 wide receiver in the nation. He held offers from Jacksonville State, Coastal Carolina, Arkansas State, Southern Miss and Texas State, but chose to remain in the Magnolia State to play at hometown Jackson State.
Spencer played in 12 games Virginia Tech in 2025, catching 14 passes for 194 yards and no touchdowns. He ranked fourth on the team in receiving yards. He had not catches prior to this season.

Isaiah Spencer is a smooth, polished wide receiver with proven production and exp3erience at both the Power Five and FCS levels. Possessing ideal size and a well-built frame, he brings a combination of length, fluid athleticism and fluid athletic ability to the receivers room.
Spencer has demonstrated the ability to line up both outside and in the slot, giving an offense valuable versatility. He is a natural vertical threat who can stretch the field, create separation down field and win in space. His route tempo, and ability to track the football make him a reliable target in explosive passing concepts.
Beyond his on-field skill set, Spencer adds maturity, depth and leadership to the position group. His experience in multiple offensive systems allows him to contribute quickly and elevate competition within the room.
A Madison native, Spencer returns home with a strong sense of pride and purpose, bringing proven playmaking ability and valuable experience to the program.
