Ole Miss continues to push for Penn State commit Deonte “Duck” Flemings Jr., and his September 19 visit to Oxford is shaping up as the next major checkpoint.
Flemings has not shut down his recruitment.
Despite his Penn State pledge, the 2028 cornerback has made it clear he still wants to experience the recruiting process.
“I still want to be a kid and enjoy my recruitment and make the best decision for me and my family,” Flemings said.
The September 19 trip gives Pete Golding and his staff another chance to strengthen the relationship and show Flemings exactly how they see him fitting into the Rebels’ secondary.
At 6-foot-3 and 190 pounds, Flemings gives Ole Miss the kind of length and physical presence it wants at outside corner.
Penn State still has the commitment, but Ole Miss continues to apply pressure.
September 19 gives the Rebels their next major chance to build momentum.
