
Ole Miss football player Carmelow Reed was arrested Friday night by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department and charged with “possession with intent of Schedule I or II Controlled Substance 10 to < 30 grams and exceeding speed limits set by local authorities on local highways’” at 8:51 p.m. As of this writing it is unknown if and what the bond may be.
Reed, 18, is as native of Chicago.
Reed committed to Ole Miss on June 3, 2025 and signed with the Rebels on Dec. 3 , 2025. He enrolled on Jan. 20, of this year.
The 6-6, 275-pounder was a four-star prospect in the 2026 class. He drew very positive reviews from head coach Pete Golding during the spring.
The Rebels open fall camp next week.
