Ole Miss has entered the mix for one of Tennessee’s rising defensive backs, extending a scholarship offer to 2027 Baylor School standout Jordan Darren Djila.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound defensive back from Chattanooga continues to see his recruitment gain momentum after a strong offseason. Djila has emerged as one of the more intriguing secondary prospects in the Southeast thanks to his physical style of play, versatility, and length. He has also picked up offers from Ohio State, Dartmouth, Georgia State, Kennesaw State, and UT Martin as his recruitment continues to accelerate.
For Ole Miss, adding Djila to the recruiting board is another step in building relationships with top talent at Baylor School, one of the nation’s premier high school football programs. Djila is teammates with five-star running back David Gabriel Georges, another major Ole Miss target in the 2027 class.
Djila has the size, physicality, and positional flexibility to play safety, nickel, or even cornerback at the next level. As more Power Four programs become involved, Ole Miss will look to remain a strong contender as his recruitment continues to develop heading into his senior season.
