Ole Miss enters the 2026 season with one of the nation’s most explosive offenses, led by veteran quarterback Trinidad Chambliss and All-American running back Kewan Lacy. After a breakout 2025 campaign, the Rebels are expected to once again rank among the SEC’s elite and have the firepower to compete for a conference championship and College Football Playoff berth.
Chambliss returns after one of the best seasons by a quarterback in school history, throwing for 3,937 yards, 22 touchdowns, and just three interceptions while completing 66.1 percent of his passes. He also added 527 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns, proving to be one of the nation’s most dangerous dual-threat quarterbacks.
Behind him is Lacy, who delivered a historic season of his own. The star running back rushed for 1,567 yards and 24 touchdowns on 306 carries, averaging 5.1 yards per carry. His 24 rushing touchdowns set a new Ole Miss single-season record and helped establish him as one of college football’s premier backs.

RB Kewan Lacy
With an experienced quarterback, a record-setting running back, and another talented group of playmakers surrounding them, Ole Miss has all the ingredients to field one of the SEC’s most dangerous offenses in 2026. If the Rebels continue producing at last season’s level, they should once again be among the favorites to contend for championships.
