Ole Miss volleyball’s Mokihana Tufono signs pro contract with Orlando Valkyrie

Ole Miss volleyball’s Mokihana Tufono has made the jump to professional volleyball, signing with the Orlando Valkyries of Major League Volleyball, as the team announced on Thursday.

Tufono joins the professional ranks following a stellar career as a Rebel after transferring into the program ahead of her junior year. The Aiea, Hawaii native earned AVCA All-Region honors during her time in Oxford, becoming part of an exclusive list of 17 players in program history to earn an All-Region honor. Tufono finished her Rebel tenure with 2,308 assists, ranking fifth in the rally scoring era and ninth all-time in program history.

Tufono’s efforts were heroic in leading the Rebels to the program’s first ever NCAA Tournament victory in 2024, tallying 59 assists, 12 digs, three blocks and two kills to defeat No. 21 Florida State.

A model student-athlete in her time in Oxford, Tufono also was named to the 2025 SEC Community Service Team and earned SEC academic honor roll honors each season.

The Orlando Valkyries are a professional volleyball franchise competing in Major League Volleyball (MLV), who took home the MLV title in 2025. The Valkyries compete at Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Fla., which also serves as the home for the University of Central Florida men’s and women’s basketball programs.
