The Ole Miss Rebels have advanced to the championship game of the Lincoln Regional. The Rebels held on to defeat host Nebraska 6-3 on Sunday in the culmination of a game that was suspended Saturday night in the top of the ninth inning with the Rebels leading the Cornhuskers 6-3.
Ole Miss is the first team in the Lincoln regional to advance to the title game. Nebraska will play Arizona State in an elimination contest on Sunday afternoon with the winner advancing to play Ole Miss later Sunday night. The Rebels would have to lose tonight and in a would-be decisive game on Monday to be eliminated.
The winner of the Lincoln Regional is set to play the winner of the Auburn Regional. If Auburn fails to win its Regional and Ole Miss wins at Lincoln, the Super Regionals could be in Oxford.
