Madi George
Ole Miss softball’s Madi George has made history, as the freshman was named a second team All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) on Wednesday.
George becomes the third Rebel to ever earn NFCA All-American honors, joining Kylan Becker in 2019 (first team) and Lauren Grill in both 2010 (third team) and 2008 (first team). George also becomes the first Rebel freshman to ever earn All-American honors.
The award caps off a massive freshman campaign for the Leander, Texas native, who was recently named a freshman All-American by Softball America and took home both NFCA All-South Region first team and All-SEC second team honors. Additionally, George was tabbed as top-10 finalist for the NFCA Freshman of the Year award.
