Ole Miss headed to match play at SEC

SEA ISLAND, Ga. – For the first time since 2023, the No. 12 Ole Miss men’s golf team is headed to match play at the SEC Championship. The Rebels shot (281, +1) in the final round of stroke play and finished at 20-under, solo fourth.

Ole Miss will be the No. 4 seed and will face No. 5 Texas A&M in the quarterfinal round.

Cohen Trolio had the low round of the day for Ole Miss closing with 4-under 66 to finish 10-under, tied for third. He now has 15 rounds in red figures and eight rounds in the 60s this season.

The third-place finish tied a career best with the last coming in the team’s season opener at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate.

Tom Fischer concluded stroke play at 5-under, tied for 17th. Cameron Tankersley finished at 4-under, tied for 24th.

Quarterfinal action against the Aggies will begin at 6:30 a.m. CT.

If the Rebels advance, semifinal action on Saturday afternoon will be available on SEC Network+ at 2 p.m. CT. The championship match on Sunday, April 26, will be televised live on SEC Network at 7 a.m. CT.
