Ole Miss guard Sira Thienou will be placing her name in the transfer portal, after two seasons with the Rebels.

The news first announced by Talia Goodman of On3.
The news comes as a shock to Ole Miss fans, as Thienou announced her return for the 2026-2027 season April 1 via social media.
The junior is the second player to enter the portal, as Sophomore guard Tianna Thompson committed to Baylor earlier this month.
After missing the last four regular season games, and the entire SEC tournament, Ole Miss fans we’re ecstatic with the thought of Thienou returning to the program.
Thienou averaged 9.3 points per game, and 5.6 rebounds per game before her injury, she led the team in steals averaging 1.7 per game.
A very highly touted player, Thienou was named to the SEC-All Freshman Team in the 2023-2034 season.
Ole Miss has gained five commitments from guards in the portal, so change can be expected from many aspects.
The Rebels are coming off a 24-12 season and earned a No. 5 seed in the NCAA Tournament, making it to the round of 32 before losing 65-63 to No. 4 Minnesota. The team also lost three players to the WNBA including Cotie McMahon, Latasha Lattimore, and Christeen Iwuala.
The transfer portal closes on April 21.
