While prospects are flowing into the campuses all across America, the contact period for college coaches begins today.
What does that mean?
It means coaches can now have contact with prospects off their own campuses. It allows for in-person evaluations at practices and games held on the prospect’s high school campus, on campus visits and electronic communications, such as phone calls, texts, emails and social media.
The period begins today and ends on May 23.
A contact period is that period of time when it is permissible for authorized athletics department staff members to make in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts and evaluations.
