Blue-chip running back David Gabriel Georges spent the weekend connecting with fellow The Baylor School and Ole Miss commit Keegan Croucher as they both returned to Oxford . The Rebels are intensifying their efforts to secure one of the nation’s elite prospects for 2027. Standing at 6 feet 2 inches and weighing 205 pounds, Georges is currently ranked as the No. 10 overall prospect, the No. 2 running back, and the top athlete from Tennessee in this recruiting cycle.
With an impressive offer sheet boasting over 30 schools, Georges has narrowed his choices down to four finalists: Ohio State, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Georgia. He announced this decision on Tuesday afternoon.
His official visit schedule kicks off on May 29 with a trip to Ohio State, followed by meetings with Tennessee on June 5, Ole Miss on June 12, and concluding with Georgia in Athens on June 19.
In early discussions about his recruitment, Georges emphasized that he is looking for programs that prioritize “high-level training and development.”
Undoubtedly one of the strongest backs in his class, Georges is an explosive playmaker known for his exceptional hands, elite vision, remarkable footwork, and overall physicality. His prowess was evident during his junior season when he averaged nearly 11 yards per carry while rushing for an impressive 1,756 yards and scoring 27 touchdowns—leading Baylor to its second consecutive state title and being named the MaxPreps National Player of the Year in 2025.
The Rebels have established a strong pipeline for offensive talent from The Baylor School, particularly at running back. Shekkai Mills Knight has played a crucial role in helping Ole Miss gain traction in this recruitment early on and now Keegan Croucher is looking to get the Rebels to the finish line in one of 2027s top recrutiments.
