The Ole Miss basketball program kept its rebuilding efforts through the portal on a furious pace Friday, as the Rebels signed San Jose State transfer Maya Anderson. A native of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Anderson brings two years of eligibility with her to Oxford. Ole Miss then signed Knisha Godfrey, a transfer from Florida via TCU via Mississippi State.
All told, the Ole Miss women’s basketball program has signed four portal transfers through this cycle. They have also signed Tennessee transfer Talaysia Cooper and Boise State transfer Emily Howward.
Anderson, 6-1 guard/forward, started all 32 games at San Jose State during the 2025-2026 season. She averaged 13.9 points per game, shooting 33 percent from the field.

“Maya is a hidden gem,” said Ole Miss head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin. “Her toughness and physicality will help her have a great transition to this conference. Her potential is through the rook, and I can’t wait for her to get back on campus with us.”
Both players are expected to arrive to Ole Miss in June.
The well-traveled Godfrey brings one season of eligibility with her to Oxford. Godfrey, appeared in just 15 games during the 2024-25 campaign while utilizing a redshirt season due to injury at TCU. This season at Florida, she played in 31 games, averaging 2.2 points and 2.4 rebounds.
“Knisha is a vet and knows the SEC,” said McPhee-McCuin. “Her leadership skills will be needed with Team 52, along with her understanding of the game. She is a floor general that wants to make everyone around her better. We are excited to have her finish her career with us here at Ole Miss.”
