Rebels crack Top 25 after series win over Gators, LSU up next at Swayze Field

D1Baseball released its week eight, national poll Monday and the Ole Miss Rebels have climbed back into the Top 25.

The Rebels are ranked No. 25 this week after taking two of three games from the Florida Gators in Gainesville over the Easter weekend. Ole Miss is now 22-11 overall and climbed to 5-7 in the SEC.

Ole Miss (22-11, 5-7 SEC) is coming off a weekend series victory over No. 21 Florida this past weekend by winning Thursday 6-4, and Saturday 5-2 while losing on Friday 0-2.

The Rebels knocked Florida out of the Top 25..

Ole Miss is one of 10 SEC teams in the polls this week along with Texas (2), Georgia (4), Alabama (8), Mississippi State (9), Auburn (15), Oklahoma (16), Texas A&M (18), Arkansas (22) and LSU (24).

This weekend the Rebels play host to No.24 LSU at Swayze in a three-game tilt starting Friday night, but up first is a non-conference matchup against Alcorn State on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. CT. The game with the SWAC opponent can be streamed on the SEC Network+.
