Blue-chip edge rusher Jalanie George, along with several teammates from Desert Edge (AZ), wrapped up a series of SEC visits, including a trip to Ole Miss this past weekend. As his recruitment heats up, the list of schools vying for the No. 1 prospect’s 2028 attention continues to grow by the minute.
Upon arriving on campus, George shared with us at Ole Miss 365 what he was most excited about during his visit to Oxford: “Just looking forward to seeing the new staff and what they have planned for the upcoming season.”
Though it was a brief stopover, George left with something significant—Ole Miss officially entered the race for one of the nation’s elite prospects from the class of 2028 by extending an offer after his visit.
During his last two seasons at Desert Edge—one of Arizona’s top high school football programs—George has made quite an impact. His impressive stats include:
- 117 total tackles
- 27 tackles for loss (TFL)
- 11.5 sacks
Standing at 6 feet 5 inches and weighing in at 240 pounds, this Navy All-American is a true playmaker. Watching his highlight reel reveals remarkable speed and an exceptional ability to track down ball carriers. His combination of size and explosive agility allows him to excel off the edge and showcases his unique playmaking talents. As he continues to grow and develop, there’s potential for him to explore other positions along the defensive line!
With this latest development, it’s clear that Ole Miss is now officially in pursuit of Jalanie George—one of the top prospects in the nation for 2028—and Ole Miss 365 will continue to keep a close eye on where his recruitment .
