One of the South’s most sought-after athletes is nearing a college decision.
Four-star athlete Tae Walden Jr. will announce his commitment live during Rivals Summer Signing Day on July 1, choosing between LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Oregon, and Ole Miss.
The Collierville (Tenn.) standout has emerged as one of the top playmakers in the 2027 recruiting class. At 6-foot-2 and 170 pounds, Walden has proven to be a dynamic two-way prospect capable of impacting the game on both sides of the football.
As a junior, Walden showcased his versatility by hauling in 42 receptions for 912 yards and 10 touchdowns while totaling 1,460 all-purpose yards and 14 touchdowns. Defensively, he recorded five interceptions and 17 pass breakups, displaying the ball skills and athleticism that have made him a priority target for several national powers.
Ole Miss has been heavily involved in Walden’s recruitment and will look to fend off stiff competition from SEC rivals LSU, Auburn, and Georgia, along with Big Ten contender Oregon.
With his commitment date now set, all eyes will be on July 1 as one of the nation’s top athletes makes his college choice.
