
FULLERTON, Calif. -Starting pitcher Kyra Aycock wasn’t particularly sharp, but she didn’t have to be as her Ole Miss offense pounded out 15 hits to take game two of a doubleheader versus Cal State Fullerton 11-9 on night one of the Easton Classic.
Aycock (1-0) tatwa seven-inning complete game, allowing five earned runs on nine hits, striking out five and walking two.
Meanwhile Persy Llamas and Madi George led the Rebel onslaught with three hits apiece. George and Cassie Reasner drove in three runs apiece for the Rebels, who improved to 1-1. Tenly Grisham also registered two hits for Ole Miss,
The Rebels fell behind 5-2 before their bats came to life with three runs in the third, a run in each of the fourth and fifth innings and a four-run sixth.
Ole Miss will play Cal State Northridge at 1 p.m. CT and Boise State at 5 p.m. CT in day two of the Easton Classic on Friday.
