Dae’Quan Wright
A Louisiana judge issued a temporary restraining order Wednesday allowing former Ole Miss standouts Dae’Quan Wright, Zxavian Harris and Wydett Williams to pursue another season of college football.

According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel and Dan Murphy, the former Rebels are among 33 athletes challenging the NCAA’s eligibility rules in Louisiana state court. The group includes 16 football players, several of whom signed NFL contracts and participated in training camps this summer.
Wright earned second-team All-SEC honors in 2025 after catching 39 passes for 635 yards. Harris started all 15 games and recorded 58 tackles, nine tackles for loss and three sacks. Williams finished his only season at Ole Miss with 73 tackles, three interceptions and 10 pass breakups.
Wright is currently with the Cleveland Browns, while Williams is with the Arizona Cardinals. Both would need to be released from their NFL contracts by Sept. 1 before joining a college roster under the order. Harris was waived by the New Orleans Saints earlier this month.
Wydett Williams
The order temporarily prevents the NCAA from enforcing the eligibility rule against the players, but it does not return Wright, Harris or Williams to Ole Miss. Their NFL contract situations, enrollment requirements and available roster space must still be resolved. Ole Miss has not announced whether it is considering bringing back any of the three former starters.
